Just announced for September is Gold Rush: How I made, lost and made a fortune (Fremantle Press, $33), the new memoir by prospector, geologist and mining executive Jim Richards. Richards’ story took him from Wales to the Mosquito Coast to South-East Asia. He was both very rich and very poor, from discovering a $190 million gold seam in WA to being conned out of his house in an Indonesian mining scam.
